Back Story: Originally developed to add another horrorcore type entry to the Wickedstock 2001 set-list, Michigan Chainsaw Bloodbath Massacre
started off as a joke. The DN crew began writing their messed-up lyrics to the quickly concocted horrorcore beat set forth by Z. After the lyric writing
session was complete, DN began to record their lyrics and each crew member realized how twisted and sick this track really is!
Highlights: Last recorded song in Steve's Basement, the guitar tracks were later recorded in The Crack Attic, making it the first song to be completed in DN's new super studio!
The song was not even complete when it was performed at Wickedstock. Damn Nation used the basic drumloop
and bassline during their performance. Nobody really seemed to notice. The Wickedstock crowd reacted positively to the opening song of DN's setlist, and ever since,
the lore behind the Michigan Chainsaw Massacre Disaster has only grown stronger, receiving rave reviews from people who've never even heard this type of shit before!

Back Story: Remake of Gordon Lightfoot's 1976 haunting ballad "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald," done in Damn Nation rap style! This was always a song DN wanted to cover in some fashion. Damn Nation never imagined this would happen. Many doubted that the DN crew would bring justice
to the original classic. But the naysayers were soon stifled upon the release of this monumental rap ballad.
Highlights: Released to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Autopsy's dad actually played the accoustic guitar featured in our remake. We hope to get Gordon Lightfoot
make an appearance at our live show and help us rock the crowd into an all out folk-out!

Back Story: Three days before the release of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, Stormtroopa suddenly showed up at Damn Nation headquarters, clutching a sheet of lyrics. The look on his face could only mean that he'd hatched another crazy scheme. In a frenzy he explained to Autopsy and Z that he'd been eating at a Kentucky Fried Chicken, staring at a cardboard cutout of the repulsive new Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks, when an idea suddenly hit him. He went home and quickly penned a song entitled "Jar Jar Binks Must Die."
Stormtroopa hadn't even seen the movie yet, but the little bit he'd seen of the obnoxious computer-animated alien was enough to convince him that Jar Jar would inspire a legion of true Star Wars fans to call for character's immediate destruction. Stormtroopa knew he would have to provide the anthem for this movement.
Highlights: Stormtroopa basically told his fellow rappers, "I wrote these lyrics, now I need a beat, quick!" Z and Autopsy immediately got to work and soon the walls of Steve's Basement Studio reverberated with sinister soundwaves. Stormtroopa's plan called for having the song released just before the new movie opened up on midnight, May 19. The Jar Jar jam quickly took form at a speed unheard of for Damn Nation. Z and Autopsy put the final touches onto the track and unleashed it on the internet only an hour before they left for the theater.
The members of Damn Nation are each big Star Wars fans, so it was natural to do a song that makes fun of most rediculuous character since the Ewoks. And sure enough, other Star Wars fans wasted no time in devoting web pages to the hatred of Jar Jar Binks. The site jarjarmustdie.com was actually being mentioned on several news channels, and when DN learned of it they told the owner about their song -- which is probably the first cool song about Jar Jar Binks ever released on the internet. Wow. When jarjarmustdie.com linked to the Jar Jar mp3, Damn Nation Central's counter hits started blowing up.
That's when a CNN producer contacted the group, expressing interest for an interview! Apparently there are people who think that the way Jar Jar talks in the movie is offensive for some reason. The producer found jarjarmustdie.com, followed the link to DN's site, and listened to the song. He asked the group for permission to use the song in a "CNN Newstand" segment they are putting together which explores the Jar Jar hate phenomena. This wasn't exactly Stormtroopa's intent while writing the song, but the group couldn't pass up the chance for publicity.
