Interview With Damn Nation by Al Kayda

Al: What does DN dig these days?

DN: We're all about the Patriot Act. We love the Patriot Act. We really, really don't mind it a bit. Big thumbs up to everyone who helped get the Patriot Act in place! Damn good idea.

Al: Really? Is that because you're a big target for investigation?

DN: Oh yes.

Al: Well, off the record, what is DN up to these days? Haven't heard shit from you in a LONG time.

DN: The last thing we did was play a Harpo's show. We were chased away from the show by an angry mob that had torches and pitchforks. After that, we holed up on an unnamed island and began plotting our Next Big Thing.

Al: And what is DN's Next Big Thing?

DN: Weird music. And more. Watch out Al! Watch out America!

Al: Can you give details?

DN:...

Al: Damn Nation? You guys there? Hello?

DN: This computer has been confiscated under authority of the Patriot Act. Any person accessing this web site is now under investigation.

April 2001
Damn Nation performed at Wickedstock 2001, the horror-core rap bonanza at Harpos in April, Friday the 13th. Look for video clips from their performance coming soon.

Damn Nation Store Update:
Eternally Damned, the EP, was released in 1999. It is no longer available. It contained songs that DN has re-recorded. They sound much better now. The new versions are available here.

January 2000
Damn Nation finishes the track B-side and begins shotting footage for it's upcoming music video, Senseless Violence. The new video is more ruthless than the Care Bears on heroin and is sure to peel your wig backwards and sideways up your asscrack! B-Side is available for download at mp3.com!

December 1999
Mr. Z quits his day job a week after "Circuit City Anthem" is released at his place of employment. The song forewarned of Z's departure from Circuit City and explained how wack it was working there. Shortly after, Damn Nation packs up the studio machines and heads into the Damn National fallout shelter awaiting the end of civilization as we know it. Unfortunately, the Y2K bug got fixed, so nothing cool happened..

November 1999
Damn Nation continues work on a bunch of new songs.

October 1999
Damn Nation's landmark jam "Stupid Bullshit" is released, garnering critical acclaim from the intellectual elite.

September 1999
The MP3 exclusive "I Did It All For the Wookiee" is released. Damn Nation parodies Limp Bizkit and pays tribute to the galaxy's toughest furball -- Chewbacca. The song is played on the world- renowned Dr. Demento radio show.

August 1999
Damn Nation does a self-indulgent photo shoot.

July 1999
New hardware begins arriving at Steve's Basement Studio, in preparation for Damn Nation's move to the new state-of-the-art Crack Attic Studio.

May 1999
Stormtroopa pens "Jar Jar Binks Must Die" and Damn Nation produces the kickass track blasting the wackest Star Wars character. The MP3 is released the day Phantom Menace hits theatres. The song is caught up in the controversy surrounding Jar Jar's "black stereotyping," and is used in a CNN news segment. DN is mentioned in the Detroit News, RollingStone.com, several online articles, and on several cable entertainment programs. "Jar Jar Binks Must Die" is played on a few Detroit radio stations.
